Our programs are designed to teach practical leadership and life skills. Teens and young adults learn these skills by attending after school workshops presented by respected volunteer leaders and by also participating as
leaders themselves in mentoring, literacy advocacy and hunger relief outreach.
Our outreach programs are designed to accomplish two very specific goals. First, to provide a "real life" training ground to fortify our young participants with marketable skills that they can immediately put to use in their workplaces and communities. Second, participants learn when they are teenagers that they can make a real difference in the lives of others.![]()
The results:
- Young people build self-confidence
- They embrace personal responsibility
- They develop an understanding and a passion for
serving others
We accomplish our work through the three LeadershipCares initiatives:
