Co-Branding Opportunities for this Year's Event

There are co-branding opportunities for companies and organizations that want to get involved. Consider these examples (hint-hint): The 2009 Verizon LeadershipCares Thanksgiving Program or The 2009 Lockheed Martin LeadershipCares Hunger Relief Effort or even The 2009 Comcast LeadershipCares Thanksgiving Basket Effort. Just fill in the name of your company or oganization and then let's talk about how you can take the lead in this year's effort!

This is a great activity for an office group, family or company to adopt and participate in! Adopt families, sponsor a part of the event or volunteer to help out......these are just a few of the ways you and your organization can help!

LEADERSHIPCARES™ WILL BE ASSEMBLING AND DELIVERING BASKETS TO FAMILIES IN NEED IN THE METRO AREA ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY NOVEMBER 23th AND 24th 2008.

This November LeadershipCares™ will assemble and deliver baskets of ingredients to prepare a complete "traditional" Thanksgiving meal to families in the Silver Spring, Wheaton, Rockville, Aspen Hill, White Oak, Takoma Park and Hyattsville areas as part of their 12th Annual ThanksgivingCares™ initiative. The baskets will be assembled on November 23rd and 24th, 2009 and then delivered the afternoon of the 24th.

The following sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are available:

• Donate funding to help purchase food and beverage items.
• Donate little extras-toothbrushes, toothpaste, coupons, gift certificates. 
• Adopt families at $20 per basket.
• Make a contribution to help pay for rental of delivery trucks. 
• Volunteers to help load trucks and deliver boxes on 11/24.

The assembly and distribution center is located in the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel and Executive Meeting Center at 1750 Rockville Pike in Rockville MD 20852 .

The hotel is located right at the Twinbrook Metro Stop on the Red Line. For more detailed directions and information on how you can help call 301-540-5791.

For a tax deductible donation of $20.00 your organization can adopt a local family. There is no limit to the number of families you and your organization can adopt.  Each family will receive a complete basket of ingredients to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to feed up to eight people.  Little extras such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap and gift certificates will also be included.  An army of volunteers made up of local caring adults, young mentors and mentees involved in our MentorCares™ program and other student groups help to pack and prepare the baskets for delivery.  Families will receive their food baskets on November 24th, 2009.  

LeadershipCares™ provides baskets each year to bring attention to the needs of struggling families in our area. It also provides an opportunity for adults and young people to volunteer as hands-on participants to help make a difference for those in need in the local community. Young people can attain their school volunteer hour requirements by participating in this program.

ThanksgivingCares™ is an outreach program of LeadershipCares, a 501(c)(3) organization. The mission of LeadershipCares™ is to provide leadership and life skills training to fortify today's youth and adults with marketable skills to take into the workplace and provide a training ground to nurture self-confidence, personal responsibility and a passion for service to others.
