This annual hunger relief effort gathers all the needed ingredients for families
to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal.
MentorCares
students learn about hunger issues, get direclty involved in fundraising, planning
and executing this annaul event. They collect, assemble and help distribute boxes of
food to families in need in the D.C. Metropolitan area.
The ThanksgivingCares Basket Program has grown over the years and in 2006 provided
food for more than 800 families.
This annual program gathers all the
needed ingredients for families to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal. Boxes
of food are distributed to families in need in the DC Metropolitan area.
